Registration CanSail levels 1 - 6

Register for summer 2023!
Dates: June 26 to August 18.

  • 8 weeks each summer.  
  • register online, easy and secure.  
  • we use the Checklick organization to track registrations, payments and student progress
  • our instructors are CanSail trained and registered.
  • Class sizes are limited so register early to avoid disappointment!
  • ​The cost of a one week session is $420. This gives you five days of sailing from 9AM until 4PM
  • Cancellations: we can only issue a refund if given seven days notice prior to the start of the course. A $70 administrative fee will be deducted.  No refunds will be given for poor weather conditions: every effort is made to get out on the water but safety is our primary concern..

How long does is take....?
Levels 1 - 2:  on average each level takes about 2 weeks.
Levels 3 - 6:  require a high level of competence both in the boats and in sailing theory.  This usually takes at least 4 to 5 weeks for each level..  
Keep in mind that all students learn at different rates so this is a guideline only.  

Those students wishing to progress through the levels should try to register for more than one week during the summer season as acquiring skills and obtaining the levels is more difficult to do when attending only one week per year.  This will allow our SGB sailors to build their confidence, experience a wider variety of weather conditions and maximize their time on the water!
