Ilian Halbertsma - Head Coach
Ilian is the Head Coach for SGB. He has been an Ontario Sailing coach since 2017, coaches CANSail 1 through 6, and is a Learning Facilitator since 2023. He grew up sailing and racing in the Caribbean and currently races with the University of Toronto’s collegiate team. He has sailed in Optimists, Lasers, RS boats, and 420s, and there are many he still wants to sail. He also loves running, movies, skiing, and travelling. Some day, it would be amazing to cross the Atlantic by sail. Ilian is super excited for this summer at SGB!
